We want to thank them for 'Hangin’ Tough' for waiting patiently to hear the announcement of their favorite boy band star ceremony,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.  She added, "Fans from all over the United States and the world have been booking flights to get to Hollywood for this special day!"Can't make it in person to see Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny?  The whole thing will be live-streamed on WalkoFame.com starting at 11:30 a.m. PT.Follow @ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

American Authors Spending Some of the Best (Fall) Days of Their Lives on 2014 Ho

Andrew Zaeh/IslandAfter spending the summer on tour with OneRepublic and The Script, American Authors are hitting the road for their own headlining tour, and they're doing it in style, courtesy of Honda. On Wednesday night, the "Best Day of My Life" band kicked off their stint as headliners on this year's Honda Civic Tour, which has been running for 13 years now.   Lead singer Zac Barnett says he's happy that the tour's trying something new this year -- having several headliners through out the year, playing smaller venues."I feel like in the past, the Honda Civic Tour has just kind of been like this big giant arena tour," he tells ABC News Radio. "Whereas now, we're kind of bringing it to club spaces...so it's really great and Honda's been awesome and they've been really fun to work with.""You know, just seeing the venue and seeing how it's all set up it's just such a cool vibe -- from the stage and the production that we have going on to everything else," he adds. "You know, we have a photo booth and so [many] fun things at the concert that it's really an event." It's also a chance for the band to graduate to the big leagues as far as their staging.  "This summer being on tour with The Script and OneRepublic -- those guys had so much production going on in their shows," Zac says. "Now, we finally kind of get to apply a little bit of that to our set." For Zac, one of the most exciting aspects of the tour is that the band has been asked to customize some Honda vehicles, which fans can register to win.  "Not only do we have a car but we also designed a motorcycle," he says.  "[It's] kind of inspired by our album artwork but I guess a little more abstract, with shapes and different colors coming together -- very sleek -- and both the motorcycle and the car look pretty awesome."Zac's so in love with his handiwork, in fact, that he doesn't want to see the vehicles fall into the hands of anyone but himself."I'm not one hundred percent sure how you win the car or the motorcycle...because I want to win the car and the motorcycle!" he laughs. "I don't want just a regular Honda. I want the American Authors Honda. It looks super cool!" The Honda Civic Tour kicked off in Reno, Nevada, last night and will run through November 11, wrapping in New Haven, CT.Follow @ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

Which Chart-Topping Pop Star Does Gloria Estefan Want to Play Her in New Broadwa

Credit: Jesus CorderoGloria Estefan's life story is coming to the Broadway stage thanks to a new musical called Get On Your Feet, which opens next year. Gloria says she knows the perfect person to play her in the show, too: chart-topping pop star Ariana Grande.Speaking to the New York Daily News, Gloria says her admiration for 21-year-old Ariana goes way back.  "Ariana Grande would be somebody wonderful [for the role]," she tells the paper. "I saw her when she was 8 years old on a cruise ship and she had sung this song, and I literally went up to her and told her and her mom, ‘I don’t know if you plan on doing this, but this is what you need to be doing because you are an amazing singer.’”"She was doing karaoke," adds Gloria.  "We were listening because I love to go watch that stuff and it was amazing!”Ariana does have Broadway experience: before she was a hitmaking pop diva, and even before she got her big break on the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious, she co-starred in the musical 13.  However, she'll likely be too busy touring to take time out to return to the stage.Follow @ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

ABC/Richard HarbaughIn an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Wednesday, Jordin Sparks again addressed the end of her three-year relationship with Jason Derulo.Jordin insisted that she's "good" following their breakup, and that Jason is a "good guy." However, for what it's worth, she declined to comment when asked if he'd been unfaithful during their time together.Host Wendy Williams mentioned the external pressure the couple may have felt to get married, and brought up the release of Jason's song "Marry Me."  Jordin, who appeared in the "Marry Me" video, replied, "Hey, listen, we set ourselves up for that....We set ourselves up for that pressure."Williams asked Jordin whether she'll return the BMW that Jason had given her as a Christmas present. Taylor Swift: Guys Don't Realize What's Involved with Dating Me

Mario Testino for British VogueTaylor Swift is probably many a man's dream girlfriend, but the singer says that that's because they're not fully aware of what it's like to be her boyfriend.Speaking to British Vogue, Taylor says, "I don't think any guy really… They think that they would want to get to know me, and maybe date me, but I don't think they want what comes with it."  And what comes with it?  Basically, pandemonium."I don't know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can't protect his girlfriend because that's the life she chose," she explains. "I just don't see how it could work, so I don't think about it, and I kind of run from it when it presents itself."In fact, says Taylor, "Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind, because I can't picture how it could work with the way my life is."Taylor's life right now is all about promoting her upcoming album, 1989, which is her first official pop record.  She tells British Vogue, "With this album I've completely changed the sound of everything I've done until now. So it's interesting to not be afraid of that."  Noting her decision to label the album as pop, she says, "You know, I don't want to hurt people's feelings, I don't want to betray Nashville, whatever, but essentially it comes down to challenging yourself as an artist."Taylor's full interview with the magazine will be available for download October 3 and on newsstands on Monday.Follow --ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett Are "Cheek to Cheek" Atop the Chart

Streamline/Interscope/ColumbiaIf you're one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, recording an album of jazz standards with an 88-year-old is probably one of the biggest artistic risks you can take.  But in this case, that risk has paid off in spades for Lady Gaga.Cheek to Cheek, Gaga's duets album with singing great Tony Bennett, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard album chart.  It's her second #1 in less than a year; her most recent solo release, ARTPOP, also topped the chart last November.  As for Bennett, he's now the oldest living act to earn a #1 album, beating a record that he set back in 2011, when he topped the charts with his star-studded disc Duets II.  Gaga also appeared on that record, singing with Bennett on "The Lady Is a Tramp.""I'm so proud to have the #1 album in the country, with the greatest guy I know," Gaga tweeted, adding on Instagram, "So happy today, it's like dream. Somebody pinch me, but don't wake me. Heaven, I'm in heaven." Those last words, of course, echo the opening lines of the song "Cheek to Cheek."Country star Kenny Chesney's latest album, The Big Revival, arrives at #2, while last week's #1, Barbra Streisand's Partners, slips to #3.Jennifer Hudson's new album JHud enters at #10.  It's her third top-10 release, making her three for three as far as top-10 albums go.Follow --ABCNewsRadio!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

With New Movie & Music on the Way, Jordin Sparks Is "Doing Great," Will "Come Ou

ABC NewsIt's an exciting time for Jordin Sparks: her latest movie, Left Behind, arrives in theaters on Friday, and she's preparing to release her first new music in five years.  Having to deal with the fallout from her breakup with Jason Derulo at the same time has been challenging, but as the star tells ABC News Radio, she's getting through, thanks to support from what she calls the three "Fs""  Her family, her faith and her fans."I'm actually doing great considering all the craziness," says Jordin. "So it's been good...all I can do is smile, you know?  It's life.  Things happen and, you know, you move on and you get better and you grow from it.""Right now, actually, I'm definitely leaning a lot on my family," she adds.  "They have been so instrumental in all the craziness in my career thus far, so, whenever something goes crazy, or something unexpected happens, I'm like, 'Hey, mom, can you come out to California?'" In addition, Jordin says, "My brother has been checking up on me every day, multiple times a day.  He's so sweet. And I definitely rely on my faith.  You know, I have the hope that there is a plan for my life and that there are better and more amazing things happening and that I'm just gonna come out of this stronger."While Jason has given several interviews telling his side of the story, so to speak, and has even issued a statement about the break-up, the one-time American Idol champ says she feels no need to put in her two cents."You know, when you answer things that haven't even been said yet, it kind of just, kinda makes people go, 'Well, wait a minute, I didn't even think about that,'" she explains. "So, for me I'm just like....you know, there's not really anything for me to say."Thanks to all the support she's getting from her fans, Jordin doesn't really feel any pressure to discuss what happened, either.  "I've always had that support from them and I definitely feel it now," she tells ABC News Radio. "You know, they're just like, 'Hey, we're here for you.  Don't worry.  We're so excited for your music.'  And I just can't wait to give that to them." "I think that'll be my gift to them, in a way.  You know, 'Thank you so much for sticking by me these past five years and' -- well, past eight years really --  'thank you so much for, you know, sticking by me when times get tough!'"The music Jordin is releasing will be her first official material since her album Battlefield came out in 2009, and she says she can't wait to show people how she's changed as an artist."I want to be able to introduce people to the newer, more grown-up me.  It's been five years...I'll be 25 in December, you know, it's a big growth spurt!" she explains. "So, I'm like, 'I don't want to scare them but at the same time, maybe that would be good!'  But I want my other fans to know that it's still me.  So, we're really trying to figure out that point, but we definitely have the goal of having music out this year.  So it's coming!"  Meanwhile, catch Jordin in Left Behind, a new thriller that also stars Nicolas Cage, when it opens on Friday.Follow --ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

Bryan Adams Journeys into the Past -- Musically -- with New Album "Tracks of My

Verve RecordsBryan Adams' new disc Tracks of My Years -- his first studio album in six years -- is out this week, and it features the Canadian singer/songwriter taking a walk down memory lane to revisit some of the great songs of his youth.  He's also revisiting his youth via the album's seriously embarrassing cover photo, which shows a 16-year-old Bryan sporting some unbelievably long, pure 1970s hair."My hair is way down past my nipples," he laughs. "I was really into hard rock back then.  I still am into hard rock, but particularly then, because it was the time, you know.  It was 1975.  I was into Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin and a lot of other hard rock, of course, and I looked like one of the roadies that fell off one of the buses, you know?"While that's Bryan's preferred music from that era, Tracks of My Years mostly features pop and rock hits from the '50s, '60s and '70s.  The concept came from one of the producers, David Foster, and at first, Bryan didn't want to do it, because he was afraid he couldn't bring anything new to classics by legends like the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Beach Boys.  But his other producer, Bob Rock, talked him into it."He said, 'Look, you got a great opportunity to have a record deal in America again, and why don't you just do it and have some fun?  If it doesn't work out, don't put it out,'" recalls Bryan. "[And so I said], 'That's a good idea.  So, let's just go have some fun."  And that's what happened."Bryan and his producers came up with about forty songs that they then whittled down to the final track listing, which includes songs not only by the Beatles, Dylan and the Beach Boys, but also The Association, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Manhattans and Chuck Berry. "It was just a sort of process of elimination, and you could tell almost instantly whether a song was working, within the first verse." Bryan says of the process, which took about three months, spread over two years.  "And generally what I would do was I'd go out and sit on a microphone....with a guitar, and I would just start playing the song and singing it.  And, if within that first few chords it started to sound like something, someone would come...and say, 'OK, that's good.  Let's do this!'"What he's ended up with, Bryan says, is an album that isn't actually made up of songs that he was personally connected to.  Instead, it features songs that mimic the genre-blurring that he experienced growing up listening to AM radio, where anything that was a hit was played, no matter what type of music it was."AM radio was kind of king," he tells ABC News Radio. "And I used to have a little transistor radio, which was kind of my escape [from] the world.  I would wait in anticipation for what the next song was gonna be on the radio.  It was really exciting.  So, doing this record, I kind of kept thinking about, 'It's OK to do a variety of different things here,' because even if these songs weren't songs that I were necessarily inspired by, they were around at the time when I decided music was what I wanted to do, and it's what AM radio was doing at the time too."Along with the cover versions, Tracks of My Years features one original new song, called "She Knows Me," which is the album's first single.  Why put a brand-new song in among the oldies?   Bryan says candidly, "Because, according to my manager and according to the record company, it's very difficult to get cover songs played.  So, better to give an original song to kick off the record.  And I'm quite happy with that."Bryan, who'll release a 30th anniversary edition of his breakthrough album, Reckless, later this year, says he's just hoping he doesn't catch too much flak for Tracks of My Years."I hope that I've done justice to the tracks because it was a leap of faith to put myself in this position, 'cause I know I'm opening myself up to rocket fire," he jokes. "So, you know, I'm trying to keep my head down!"Follow --ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

"The Voice" Recap: The Four Coaches Pursue Cracker Barrel Fan

Trae Patton/NBCIt was the fourth night of the blind auditions on The Voice Tuesday night. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams each added new artists to his or her team, including one contestant on a mission to visit every Cracker Barrel restaurant in America. Here are the highlights of the two-hour episode:Katriz Trinidad, 15, opened the show with a rendition of the Etta James classic "At Last." Blake, Gwen and Pharrell pressed their buttons at virtually the same moment. Pharrell then stood up for the rest of the performance. He practically begged Katriz to join his team, saying he's been dreaming of working with an artist like her on his label. Though Blake argued that he's enjoyed a lot of success with teenagers on the show, Katriz made Pharrell happy by choosing him.Ethan Butler of Chicago played "Beneath Your Beautiful," by Labrinth and Emeli Sandé, on his guitar. Adam and Blake battled for Ethan. Adam praised his guitar playing and his soulful voice. Blake said Ethan is "more than ready" for the competition. Adam chimed in he was confident Ethan would pick him over Blake -- and that's exactly what Ethan did.Tanner Linford returned to The Voice stage after auditioning last season. Blake scooped him up after he sang the Alison Krauss tune "When You Say Nothing At All." Both Gwen and Pharrell were surprised to learn that the voice they'd heard had come from a boy, and not a girl.Jean Kelley, who lost her mother as a child, took on Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone." Toward the end of the performance, Gwen and Blake turned around. Blake said he was unsure of Jean until she hit a powerful note late. He pushed the fact that he's won the show three times, but Jean decided on Gwen.  All four coaches fought over Chris Jamison, a 20-year-old triplet who covered John Mayer's "Gravity." Gwen told Chris he was a "freak of nature" due to his age, looks and talent. Adam said Chris packed a lot of emotion into his performance, but advised him to scale it back a little. Pharrell, on the other hand, praised the contestant for letting go. Chris is now a member of Team Adam. The Voice went country when Craig Wayne Boyd sang "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'" by Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart. He drew interest from Pharrell and Blake. Pharrell admitted he wasn't familiar with the song, but he liked the ad-libbing he heard. Boyd selected Blake due to his country background.Toia Jones belted out the Adele ballad "One and Only." She had the option of teaming up with either Adam or Pharrell. Pharrell won out; Toia told the cameras backstage that she felt an "instant connection" with him.Gwen expanded her group with Amanda Lee Peers, who sang ZZ Ward's "Put the Gun Down."At this point, the show quickly recapped three more contestants who advanced: Gianna Salvato, who joined Team Gwen; Rebekah Samarin, a member of Team Adam; and Grant Ganzer, who will be mentored by Blake. The final artist of the night was Jonathan Wyndham, who's on a mission to visit every Cracker Barrel location in the U.S. He convinced all four coaches to press their buttons with his performance of "Say Something" by A Great Big World. Gwen commented that it sounded sincere, but she can help him with his stage presence. Adam complimented Jonathan on his "delicate vulnerability." Blake said he could feel the desperation in Jonathan's voice. Jonathan picked Adam.As it stands now, each coach has 10 artists on his or her team, and has two more spots to fill. The blind auditions will wrap up next Monday night on NBC.Follow @ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

And it’s a chapter that is going to go on for a while. A chapter that is going to yield much fruit. We are very, very excited.”The band’s next concert is Thursday night at the United Center in Chicago.Fleetwood Mac's On with the Show tour runs through a December 20 concert in Tampa, Florida. Here’s the set list from Tuesday’s concert at the Target Center:"The Chain""You Make Loving Fun" "Dreams""Second Hand News" "Rhiannon" "Everywhere" "I Know I'm Not Wrong" "Tusk" "Sisters of the Moon" "Say You Love Me" "Seven Wonders" "Big Love" "Landslide" "Never Going Back Again" "Over My Head" "Gypsy" "Little Lies" "Gold Dust Woman" "I'm So Afraid" "Go Your Own Way" Encore:"World Turning""Don't Stop" "Silver Springs"Second encore:"Songbird"

Grammy Eligibility Ends Today...So Who'll Get Nominations?

Courtesy of The Recording AcademyWhen Taylor Swift's album 1989 comes out October 27, it may set the charts, and the cash registers, on fire, but it won't be receiving a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.  That's because the cutoff for eligibility for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards is today, September 30.  So any music that was released between October 1, 2013 and today can be nominated, but Taylor will miss out.  So, who are the most likely candidates for Grammy love? Billboard has a roundup. In the Album of the Year category, Billboard says Beyonce's self-titled surprise album has a good shot, while other possible contenders might include Ed Sheeran's X, Ariana Grande's My Everything, Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour, Katy Perry's PRISM and Pharrell Williams' G I R L.For Record of the Year, Billboard says Idina Menzel's Frozen anthem "Let It Go," Pharrell's "Happy," Taylor's "Shake It Off," Sam Smith's "Stay with Me," Beyonce's "Drunk in Love" and Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars" might make the cut.For Song of the Year, which is a songwriting award, "Stay with Me" is a contender, as is "Sing" by Ed Sheeran, "All of Me" by John Legend, Sia's "Chandelier," Beyonce's "Drunk in Love" and possibly Iggy Azalea's "Fancy."Sam Smith is a no-brainer when it comes to a Best New Artist nod, according to Billboard, and Iggy Azalea might also make the cut.  By the way, U2's free iTunes album Songs of Innocence has been ruled eligible for nominations, but the publication doesn't think the Academy will show Bono and the boys much love. The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be handed out February 8 and air live on CBS.  Nominations are usually announced in December.Follow --ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio
